• Well, it's been a bit more than 6 months since Jeanne died. A second shock came in October with the arrival of the AUTOPSY . I knew she'd died from a series of hospital mistakes but I didn't know how serious they were until I read that AUTOPSY . When I ask Kaiser, how is it she could be in your hospital for 29 days, develop a perforated duodenal ulcer with a hole in her intestine the size of your thumb, accumulate in her abdomen outside of her intestine 2.8 liters of pus & food particles, exhibit an increasingly distended abdomen, and resist every possible antibiotic because of this infection load and eventually die from it, how could you not notice and diagnose this? The response from Kaiser is dead silence. Yes, the autopsy showed the cancer had spread, but still Kaiser cheated her out of her remaining time. I don't know whether to be angry with them or grateful, because it did spare her a more agonizing death, but it was a gruesome way to die although relatively quick.

Lest you think I have it in for Kaiser, please understand that I believe Kaiser is one of the greatest forces for social good in modern America. Having said that, I would like to help them fix what they did wrong in Jeanne's case. Unfortunately, they are ignoring that request as well.
